SIMON PRINGLE brings to the Six Degree People team his 15 years experience in sustainable business, environmental risk management and corporate responsibility; much of it in positions of senior leadership.

Simon started his career with an Anglo-American consulting practice. From 2001 until 2008, he served on the UK and Global boards of a leading environmental consultancy and amongst various accountabilities formed part of the in-house acquisition and integration team.  Latterly Simon acted as Partner, Sustainable Business Practice at a change management consultancy that has delivered some of the largest and most successful business transformation programmes in corporate history.

Educated at the University of Durham and Imperial College, London, he is a Fellow of the RSA and his technical experience includes environment, energy and sustainability. He led the teams that were awarded both the 2008 Management Consultancy Association award for Corporate Responsibility and the award for Environmental Advisor of the Year in the 2007 Acquisitions Monthly Awards.

Outside of Six Degree People, Simon is a Director of Mason Hardy, the change management consultancy and The Power Collective – inventors of the innovative RidgeBlade turbine that won the 2009 Dutch Postcode Lottery Green Challenge. He is also a founding Trustee and Vice Chair of Carbon Leapfrog (the carbon reduction charity), serves on a number of industry boards and is a Non Exec advisor to a successful PR consultancy.

Simon is married and lives on the edge of the Yorkshire Dales with his wife and two young children. He is Vice President of Harrogate Rugby Club but never got close to playing at a standard that would justify it!
