Six Degree People was founded by Andy James in 2008.
We are a collection of associates with an average of 25 years experience, helping, clients operationalise complexity.
We offer a blend of strategy, insight, leadership development, communication and recruitment support. Which changes dependent on our clients needs and which of phase of our Triple Green Clarity framework they are navigating.

1999 – Conducted first board level recruitment assignment in sustainability.
2005 – Highlighted the increasing importance of individuals who have followed ‘non-linear’ career paths across industry, government, investment, non-profit.
2009 – ‘Five stages to a sustainable business’ paper published to widespread acclaim
2010 – Retained by IKEA board to define and find their first Chief Sustainability Officer, an appointment seen as a benchmark in sustainability.
2010’s – Built a global non-linear client base across Business, Investment, Academia, Non – Profit, Intergovernmental.
IKEA, Nike, DSM, Earth Capital Partners, United Nations, Cambridge University and many more.
2021 – First worked with clients to question 20th century assumptions on rising income, globalisation and planetary stability
2024 – Launched Triple Green Clarity framework to help clients align with today’s reality and not 50 yr assumptions.
